 Bee Cave

Briefly - Once a tiny town with just a trading post, it is now a bustling young city and still growing. Bee Cave became a city in 1987, with a goal to be an area without big city government.

Historically Speaking - The area came to be known as Bee Cave (well there are 2 different stories). First, it is said that colonies of Mexican Honeybees lived along the bank of Barton Creek and Little Barton Creek. Second, it is said that  a swarm of honeybees built a nest in the shape of a cave under the eave of Beck's Store and customers would marvel at the "bee cave". We will let you pick which version you like best.

Shopping Bonanza - The Hill Country Galleria is every shoppers dream with over 50 wonderful boutique shops and big name retailers, a Cinemark movie theater and much, much more. More shopping can be found just across Hwy. 71 at the Galleria Shops. For the hunting enthusiast you have The Sportsman's Finest located in a building that resembles a hunting cabin in the woods.

A Day at the Park - Central Park located on 50 acres in the heart of the city and hopes to see completion by 2010. For now you have a very nice pebble path to walk your way around The Hill Country Galleria.

Taste of Bee Cave - You just name what it is that your heart desires and 9 times outta 10 you will find it here.
